Welcome to the IEEE IES Technical Committee on Electrical Machines (EMTC) website!

This committee aims to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange their latest achievements and to identify critical issues and challenges for future investigation on industrial electronics applications in Electrical Machines.

Leadership and Vision of the EMTC

The EMTC leadership is based on a team of three officers, namely the Chair, the Vice-Chair and the Secretary. The team is led by the Chair and is supported by the Previous Chair. The team looks to continuously drive innovation and collaboration in the field of electrical machines. Their leadership fosters research excellence, industry engagement and the general advancement of cutting-edge technologies that shape the future of intelligent electromechanical systems.

The EMTC comprises researchers, students, industrialists, academics and general enthusiasts in the field of electrical machines and associated technologies. Related applications include transportation electrification, grid-connected systems, energy production from renewables, energy harvesting, fault tolerant systems, and high-efficiency industrial conversion systems. Most importantly the EMTC is concerned with bringing together the globally distributed talent across all the disciplines, applications, ranks, affiliations and countries in the world of electrical machines.
